About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Accountant / Tax Manager to join our growing team. This is both a growth hire and a succession opportunity as the firm continues to expand and prepare for future growth. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical tax and accounting experience, along with a client-centered mindset and an ability to provide thoughtful advisory support.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of business and individual clients, providing hands-on tax preparation, planning, and advisory services
- Oversee and review work performed by staff and senior accountants
- Prepare and review complex tax returns (individual, corporate, partnership, and fiduciary)
- Advise clients on tax strategies, compliance, and planning opportunities
- Collaborate with the internal team to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and client satisfaction
- Participate in client meetings and relationship development efforts
- Contribute to process improvements and assist in onboarding new clients
- Stay current with tax law changes and accounting standards
Qualifications
- 5 years of public accounting experience with a focus on tax
- CPA license preferred (or actively pursuing)
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations
- Proficiency with Lacerte, Thomson Reuters, and QuickBooks
- Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills
- Hands-on approach and comfort working in a small, fully onsite team
- Strong client relationship skills and a proactive, advisory mindset
