Job Title: Senior Maintenance Technician – Injection Molding
Location: Jacksonville, FL
Pay Rate: $30–$40/hour (DOE)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Department: Injection Molding / Manufacturing
Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor or Manager
Position Summary
Experienced, hands-on technician responsible for preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance of injection molding machines and related production equipment. This role focuses on hydraulics, electronics/control systems, and pneumatics to maximize uptime, product quality, and equipment lifespan.
Qualifications & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical diploma or associate degree in industrial maintenance, mechatronics, electrical, or related field preferred
- 5 years of experience maintaining injection molding machines and manufacturing equipment
- Strong experience in hydraulics, pneumatics, and industrial electronics/controls (PLCs, HMIs, AC/DC drives)
- Experience with servo-driven injection presses and hydraulic power units preferred
- Ability to read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics
- Hands-on experience with multimeters, oscilloscopes, pressure gauges, and diagnostic tools
- Familiarity with CMMS systems, spare parts management, and basic PLC troubleshooting
- Strong mechanical aptitude and precision alignment skills
Preferred Certifications
- Hydraulic and/or pneumatic certification
- PLC troubleshooting or electrical certifications
- OSHA 10/30 or equivalent safety training
Key Responsabilities
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment
- Perform electrical and electronic repairs, including PLCs, sensors, drives, motor controls, and HMIs
- Maintain and repair hydraulic systems (pumps, valves, cylinders, hoses, seals)
- Service pneumatic systems (air preparation units, valves, actuators, tubing, fittings)
- Perform preventive maintenance and update PM schedules and checklists
- Conduct root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions
- Calibrate machine controls and instrumentation
- Read and interpret schematics, manuals, and bills of materials (BOMs)
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and spare parts inventory
- Support mechanical repairs (bearings, gearboxes, molds, clamping systems)
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams
- Train and mentor junior technicians
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures, including lockout/tagout (LOTO)
