Senior Accountant | $70K–$80K
We're looking for an experienced accountant who wants more than just checking boxes and processing transactions. This role gives you the opportunity to own key accounting processes, improve how the team works, and become a go-to resource for the accounting department.
What You'll Do
- Own month-end close and improve the process so it's accurate, consistent, and on time.
- Own account reconciliations and establish clear, standardized procedures.
- Prepare and review journal entries and financial reports.
- Analyze variances and dig into the reasons behind them.
- Coach and support other members of the accounting team.
- Identify and fix process problems instead of simply working around them.
- Support audits, tax work, system improvements, and other accounting projects.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
- 4 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong experience with month-end close, reconciliations, general ledger, and financial statements.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Someone who takes ownership, asks questions, finds root causes, and looks for better ways to do things.
- Someone who can explain accounting concepts clearly and help others improve.
Nice to have: Sage Intacct, ServiceTitan, lease accounting, revenue recognition, or experience in MEP, construction, or the trades.
What Success Looks Like
In your first 6–12 months, you'll have helped make our accounting processes more consistent, accurate, and easier to manage. Month-end close and account reconciliations will have clear, standardized processes, financial reporting will be more reliable, and you'll have become a trusted resource for the accounting team.
