Our client, a growing tech company in Los Angeles, is looking to bring on a Senior Accountant to support their expanding operations. This position offers high visibility, frequent interaction with senior leaders and external partners, and meaningful opportunities for professional growth. The role is hybrid onsite daily in West LA.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Close Process & Reporting: Support and improve the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting while identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency.
- Reconciliations & Account Oversight: Perform and review reconciliations across key accounts, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and proper documentation.
- Financial Statement Preparation: Assist in preparing GAAP-compliant financial statements and supporting schedules, maintaining the integrity and reliability of financial data.
- Financial Analysis & Business Support: Partner with cross-functional teams to monitor spend, analyze trends, and provide insights that support business decision-making.
- Procurement & Expense Management: Support purchasing and payment processes, ensuring appropriate controls, accurate recordkeeping, and timely processing of transactions.
- Audit & Compliance Support: Assist with audit preparation, internal controls, and compliance initiatives to ensure adherence to financial and regulatory standards.
- Process Improvement & Systems: Identify and implement process improvements, leveraging systems and tools to enhance reporting, automation, and scalability.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with accounting, finance, and operational teams to support reporting, analysis, and ongoing business initiatives.
What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum 3-5 years of accounting experience within public accounting AND/OR tech industry experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a similar discipline
- CPA certification or progress toward one is strongly preferred
- Strong Excel capabilities and comfort working with financial models and performance reporting. Experience with ERPs such as NetSuite or QuickBooks a plus.
- Sharp attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to convey complex financial concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
