Join Our Team as an Experienced Safety Coordinator!
Western Ag Transport – Fremont, NE
Western Ag Transport is seeking a professional, experienced Safety Coordinator who brings organization, leadership, and a passion for keeping drivers safe.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Manage all safety and compliance programs for both Western Ag Transport and Rocktown Transport
- Maintain logs and safety documentation
- Monitor safety performance and implement improvements
- Coordinate and help assist when needed in the investigation of near misses, injurie reporting, and vehicle collision investigations, and follow-ups
- Provide monthly safety performance numbers to the Safety Manager
- Provide training support and track monthly/quarterly driver trainings
- Monthly fire extinguisher checks at the WAG location
- Some travel required quarterly to Virgina plus conferences
- Coaching drivers- skill required
- Become proficient in claims management/settlement and adjustors
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Proven experience in transportation safety
- Strong understanding of DOT/FMCSA regulations is preferred
- Organized, dependable, , and confident working with drivers
- Ability to lead safety initiatives across the company
- Comfortable working with a team‑oriented office staff
- OSHA experience (preferred)
- 3 years of fleet safety experience (preferred)
- Strong computer skills
- Familiarity with some telematics system (Preferred)
- CDL Class A preferred (not required)
