Position Summary
Harrisburg Global Academy seeks a knowledgeable and collaborative Reading Coach to support school leadership and instructional staff in strengthening literacy instruction and improving student achievement. This position will work closely with the school leadership team to develop and monitor individualized reading plans, support assessment administration, and provide instructional coaching to teachers.
Key Responsibilities
- Reading Plans: Support the development, implementation, and monitoring of individualized reading plans and targeted literacy interventions for students performing below grade level.
- Instructional Coaching: Provide teachers with ongoing coaching, instructional modeling, classroom observations, and actionable feedback to strengthen evidence-based literacy instruction.
- Data Analysis: Collaborate with teachers and school leadership to analyze student performance data, identify instructional needs, and develop strategies to accelerate student achievement.
- Professional Development: Support teacher training, collaborative planning, and the implementation of effective reading instructional practices aligned with schoolwide academic goals.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field; master's degree preferred.
- Valid SC teaching certification with a Reading Endorsement
- Demonstrated experience in literacy instruction, intervention strategies, assessment, and instructional coaching.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and data-analysis skills.
Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
