About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Inspector to join our team and ensure that our manufacturing processes and final products consistently meet established quality standards. The ideal candidate will be proficient in quality control procedures, inspection tools, and safety regulations.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Inspect raw materials and finished products for defects and compliance with specifications
- Use measuring tools like calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify dimensions
- Record inspection results and maintain accurate documentation
- Identify quality issues and recommend corrective actions
- Collaborate with production staff to resolve quality concerns in real-time
- Conduct in-process and final inspections in manufacturing or assembly environments
- Review and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and product specifications
- Ensure compliance with company standards and industry regulations
- Assist in audits and implement continuous improvement practices
Qualifications and Skills
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred
- Certification in quality control or inspection (e.g., ASQ CQI) is a plus
- 2 years of experience in manufacturing or quality assurance
- Knowledge of ISO standards and lean manufacturing principles is advantageous
- Experience working with quality inspection software or ERP systems
- Strong understanding of quality control standards and procedures
- Familiarity with inspection tools and equipment (e.g., calipers, CMMs)
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Solid recordkeeping and report-writing skills
- Basic math and computer skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and time management abilities
