Project Manager / Owner’s Rep / Personal Assistant (Temporary Role) MUST LIVE IN AREA and be ONSITE multiple times per week.
Overview
Seeking a highly resourceful, trustworthy, execution-focused individual to manage a one-time residential and rural property project involving vendor sourcing, bid management, and coordination of multiple services (farm fencing, light property repair/renovations, well water repair, exterior lighting add-ons; removal/packing up and storing personal items from property home, etc.). This role is responsible for driving effective results—is not a task-only assistant role or a coordinator who simply schedules and reports.
Key Responsibilities
- Find, schedule/meet with, and obtain a minimum of three qualified bids per project scope: horse panel fencing installation; light home renovations to include flooring/painting/electrical/HVAC; well water repair; adding electricity / water to barn area, etc
- Present side-by-side bid comparisons with clear recommendations to owner
- Coordinate supplies/logistics for packing, storage, and property access
- Oversee hired vendors to ensure work is completed on time, within scope, and at agreed pricing
- Identify issues before they become problems
- Provide clear, concise updates daily/weekly to owner
Requirements
- Proven experience managing multiple vendors and/or trades
- Working knowledge of finding vendors / trades
- Experience with small renovations / repair projects
- Strong ability to negotiate pricing and challenge estimates
- Practical knowledge of rural/farm property operations, including fencing types, wells, utilities, and general animal/property needs—with the ability to apply that knowledge when scoping and evaluating vendor work
- Highly organized with strong communication skills and follow-through
- Trustworthy and able to operate independently
- Decisive—able to make recommendations, not just gather information
- Must be able to walk a property, identify issues, and speak confidently with contractors across multiple trades
- Must have references
- Must be able to pass a drug screening and background check
