What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Manager - Custom New Homes and High-End Renovations position at Confidential?
Project Manager - Custom Homes & Renovations
Confidential Opportunity
Build Confidence. Not Just Projects.
The best Project Managers don't simply keep projects moving.
They build confidence.
Confidence for homeowners because they know what's happening before they have to ask.
Confidence for trade partners because expectations are clear.
Confidence for teammates because nothing important falls through the cracks.
Confidence for leadership because they know every detail is being thoughtfully managed.
We're looking for an experienced Project Manager who genuinely cares about delivering exceptional custom homes, high-end renovations, and an outstanding client experience.
The right person isn't motivated by simply checking boxes or getting projects across the finish line. They take pride in their work, notice what others miss, communicate proactively, and understand that exceptional projects are built through hundreds of small decisions made well.
If you're the kind of person who treats every project as if your own reputation depends on it, we'd love to hear from you.
What You'll Own
You'll become the trusted guide for homeowners from contract through project completion, leading projects with confidence, professionalism, and attention to detail.
You'll coordinate design development, budgeting, scheduling, permitting, selections, construction execution, and project closeout while working closely with Site Supervisors, trade partners, designers, and office staff.
You'll proactively identify challenges before they become problems, communicate clearly with everyone involved, and ensure projects stay aligned with quality, budget, schedule, and client expectations.
This position includes a healthy mix of office collaboration, client meetings, and field involvement. While every week looks a little different, we believe our best work happens when our team is together—sharing ideas, solving problems, and supporting one another.
What Success Looks Like
Success isn't measured by how many projects you manage.
It's measured by the confidence you create.
Clients trust you because they always know what's happening.
Trade partners trust you because expectations are clear.
Your teammates trust you because you'll follow through.
Leadership trusts your judgment because projects are being led—not simply managed.
At the end of the day, projects run smoothly because you're leading them, not because someone else is checking behind you.
How We Work
We believe exceptional projects don't happen because people work harder.
They happen because talented people consistently execute proven processes while bringing sound judgment, ownership, and professionalism to every decision.
We're building systems that create clarity—for our clients, our trades, and our team. We value consistency because consistency builds trust.
We're looking for someone who will embrace our standards, understand the reasoning behind them, execute them consistently, and help us thoughtfully improve them over time.
We believe systems should support great people—not replace good judgment.
The Type of Person Who Thrives Here
You naturally take ownership.
You care about the details because you know details build trust.
You communicate proactively instead of waiting for someone else to ask.
You remain calm under pressure and make thoughtful decisions.
You hold yourself to a high standard even when no one is watching.
You believe consistency creates exceptional results.
You respect established processes because you understand they exist for a reason, while contributing thoughtful improvements as the business continues to grow.
Most importantly, you find genuine satisfaction in delivering projects you're proud to put your name on.
Required Experience
This is not an entry-level Project Manager position.
We're seeking someone with a proven track record of successfully leading custom homes and/or high-end residential remodeling projects from preconstruction through project completion.
You understand residential construction, budgeting, scheduling, trade coordination, client communication, and project financial management because you've successfully done it before.
Just as importantly, you have a demonstrated history of delivering exceptional client experiences—not simply completing construction projects.
Why Join Us?
We intentionally maintain a manageable project workload because we believe exceptional work requires focus—not simply more projects.
We're building a team of professionals who care deeply about craftsmanship, communication, continuous improvement, accountability, and doing the right thing for our clients.
We believe relationships matter.
We believe details matter.
We believe consistency matters.
We believe ownership matters.
If you're looking for a place where quality matters, your work makes a difference, and you'll have the opportunity to help shape the future of a growing custom residential builder, we'd love to hear your story.
