Job Purpose/Summary
The AIRSEAL® Order Processing, Inventory, & Purchasing Manager is responsible for accurately and efficiently processing customer orders within AIRSEAL’s ERP system, procuring materials from vendors to support both customer orders and inventory, and maintaining accurate, sufficient inventory levels.
The Order Processing, Inventory, & Purchasing Manager must effectively manage time and priorities, communicate clearly with internal staff and external suppliers, and consistently complete assigned tasks and projects on schedule.
AIRSEAL® Order Processing, Inventory, & Purchasing Manager Essential Functions:
- Process Orders – Convert ERP quotes to orders by creating BOMs in Excel, importing them into the ERP system, and finalizing the order conversion
- Create POs for non-inventory items needed for orders and inventory items for replenishment and new stock
- Review vendor pricing on a per-order basis; negotiate competitive pricing and regularly source quotes from alternative vendors
- Monitor inventory levels and turnover, forecast demand, and purchase inventory to meet business needs while minimizing excess stock; fully utilize the ERP system’s Material Requirements Planning (MRP) functionality
- Conduct and review full inventory counts quarterly, with additional monthly cycle counts as needed
- Coordinate with AIRSEAL team members across departments to ensure orders are processed efficiently and inventory levels are properly maintained
Required Skills/Abilities
- Product Knowledge: Quickly learn and retain detailed product information, uses, and applications to ensure accurate ordering and purchasing.
- Technical Interpretation: Read and interpret drawings, specifications, instructions, and other production data required for AIRSEAL product fabrication, assembly, and packaging.
- Organization & Prioritization: Highly organized with the ability to set priorities effectively and manage multiple tasks.
- Teamwork & Independence: Collaborate effectively with team members while also working independently when needed.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; proficient in reading and speaking English.
- Attention to Detail: Maintain a high level of accuracy in all aspects of work.
- Excel Proficiency: Intermediate-to-advanced skills in Excel for data management, analysis, and reporting.
- MS Office Skills: Proficient in Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Self-Motivation: Demonstrates initiative and the ability to work proactively without constant supervision.
Other Requirements:
- 2–7 years of experience in order processing, inventory control, and purchasing.
- Experience with manufacturing-based ERP or accounting systems preferred.
- Familiarity with Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
