Job Overview

we are seeking a purchasing coordinator to join our Big Tex Trailer World team. The Purchasing Coordinator will be instrumental in  purchasing and supply management. This position is responsible for receiving and processing purchase orders, maintaining appropriate inventory.

Key Accountabilities

• Buys and manages inventory for vendors.
• Maintains vendor and product identification information in TakeStock.
• Provides PO (Purchasing Orders) general administrative and clerical support.
• Participates in the inventory process.
• Completes purchase orders and manages the order entry process, communicating and resolving problems.
• Handles correspondences and documents and maintains filing and data systems.
• Provides excellent customer service to internal and external partners and acts as a resource for all PO needs.
• Order trailers and write PO’s.
• Other accountabilities, as assigned. 

Professional Qualifications

• 2 years experience in purchasing/supply chain management environment.
• Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office including Excel.
• TakeStock experience is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask while working in a fast-paced, time sensitive environment.
• Service oriented with the ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision.
• Team-oriented with a focus on working in a collaborative environment.
• Efficient & accurate data entry skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills (listening, questioning, conflict resolution).
• Good attitude with a high level of integrity and alignment with our mission, vision, values & operating principles.
