My client, a well-established and growing food manufacturing company, is seeking a Plant Manager.
This role is 5 days onsite just north of Boston, $40-45/hr Paid OT (typical schedule is 50 hrs/wk)
Bilingual English/Spanish Required
Position Highlights:
Management of the Productivity of the Department
- Develop and implement the plant’s short- and long-term operational strategy aligned with company growth objectives.
- Design, standardize, and continuously improve plant-wide production systems (grinding, mixing, cutting, marinating, stuffing, linking, packaging)
Food Safety & Regulatory Strategy
- Own the plant’s food safety strategy and regulatory compliance framework.
- Ensure full compliance with: USDA-FSIS, HACCP, SQF, GMPs
Leadership & Organizational development
- Lead and develop Production Managers as business leaders, not task supervisors.
- Establish clear accountability structures across all production departments.
Administrative & Reporting Duties
- Own plant-wide productivity and efficiency performance, ensuring optimal conversion of labor, materials, and equipment into finished goods.
Continuous Improvement & Cross – Functional Alignment
- Lead Lean/continuous improvement initiatives across departments.
Requirements:
- 7–10 years of progressive leadership in food manufacturing.
- Minimum 3–5 years managing managers in a production environment.
- Strong knowledge of USDA, HACCP, SQF systems.
- Experience scaling operations or improving plant performance.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or related field.
