Duties
- Manage and oversee cost accounting processes to ensure precise tracking of production costs and expenses.
- Implement and maintain absorption accounting methods to accurately allocate manufacturing overheads and assess product profitability.
- Analyze Bill of Materials to verify cost accuracy, identify discrepancies, and support inventory valuation.
- Provide operational financial support by collaborating with production, procurement, and other departments to optimize costs and improve financial performance.
- Exercise diplomacy and influence to foster positive relationships across teams, facilitating effective communication of financial insights.
- Prepare detailed financial reports, forecasts, and analyses to support management in strategic planning and decision-making.
- Monitor compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and company policies related to manufacturing finance.
- Lead efforts in continuous process improvement related to cost management and financial reporting within the plant environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience in cost accounting, absorption accounting, or manufacturing finance roles.
- Strong understanding of Bill of Materials analysis and inventory valuation techniques.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to exercise diplomacy and influence across diverse teams.
- Demonstrated ability to provide operational financial support that influences business decisions.
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; advanced certifications are a plus.
