Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Pipefitter to join our contracting company. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining piping systems across various projects, ensuring compliance with safety standards and industry codes. Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, thread, and fit pipes using hand tools, power tools, and pipe threading equipment to precise specifications.
- Propress & grooved pipe.
- Perform welding operations including TIG & Stick welding.
- Use tape measure and basic math skills to ensure accurate measurements and proper alignment of pipe assemblies.
- Rigging and lifting heavy pipe & equipment safely into position on construction sites or manufacturing floors.
- Conduct routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of piping systems to ensure optimal performance.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Pipefitter in manufacturing or maintenance environments with a solid understanding of pipe installation procedures.
- Proficiency in laying out pipes, soldering, threading, welding and the use of various hand tools and power tools.
- Experience working in manufacturing environments with a focus on safety protocols.
- Mechanical knowledge combined with the ability to read schematics and operate rigging equipment effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail; capable of working independently or as part of a team in fast-paced settings. Pay: $20.00 - $36.00 per hour
