Here’s what you can count on from us:
- Pay that reflects your experience and contributions
- A real respect for your time outside of work
- A team that actually has each other’s backs
- Open ears; your input matters here — we want to hear your ideas
- Dedicated time and support to grow your skills and career
About the Role
This is a role for someone who likes to stay busy, figure things out, and genuinely enjoys helping people. You’re comfortable working independently, but you also like knowing there’s a team behind you. You pick things up quickly, stay organized without being reminded, and can hold a real conversation with a client who’s worried about their coverage. Day to day, you’ll be handling a mix of account service, research, and client support — for both current clients and new prospects.
What you’ll actually be doing:
- Be the go-to person for a portfolio of clients — building real relationships along the way.
- Respond to clients, carriers, and teammates promptly and professionally — people are counting on you and you take that seriously.
- Dig into client questions about their policies and coverage, and come back with timely, clear, and accurate answers.
- Stay up to date on carrier products, underwriting guidelines, and any changes in the market so you can give clients solid guidance.
- Review and compare coverage options to put together solid renewal and new business specs for marketing.
- Submit new and renewal business for marketing, review quotes for accuracy and competitiveness, and negotiate rates when there’s room to do so.
- Work with the sales team to put together proposals and get ready for client presentations.
- Handle invoicing and financing tasks accurately and on time.
- Review policies, endorsements, and audits to catch errors before they become problems.
- Help clients navigate the claims process from start to finish — submitting, following up, and making sure nothing falls through the cracks.
- Keep your book of business organized — renewals, deliverables, coverage summaries, and marketing timelines all need to stay on track.
What we’re looking for:
- Strong communicator — in writing and in conversation
- Comfortable with numbers and willing to learn new software and tools
- A genuinely good attitude and the ability to listen — clients remember how you made them feel
- Organized and on top of your workload without needing to be chased down
- Able to juggle multiple priorities and keep your cool when things get busy
- Someone people can trust — with information, with clients, and with their word
The Ideal candidate will also have:
· An active California Insurance license in good standing
· At least 3-5 years experience in a similar role
· Experience with Applied System EPIC
· The ability to fluently speak and write in English and Spanish
· Patience, because we run a multi-step hiring process that also includes a few online assessments.
