We are seeking a talented Construction Accountant who has experience performing Accounting/Financial Reporting functions in the residential construction industry. Strong communication skills, excellent attendance, analytical thinking, high attention to detail and good work ethic are essential in this position.
Preferred Skills
- 5 years of experience in Construction Accounting/Financial Reporting
- Job Cost accounting experience
- General Ledger accounting experience
- Experience processing, completing and reporting construction loan draws HIGHLY desired
- Associate's or Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in accounting
- Previous experience working in construction, real estate development and/or property management accounting

Responsibilities:
- Preparing monthly construction draws
- A/P/AR
- Handle accounting duties for various financial entities
- Journal entries, GL and bank account reconciliations
- Perform accounting for residential development project, including both horizontal (site development) and vertical (home construction) activities across multiple related entities
- Review expenses at month end to ensure accurate coding and report on budget vs. actual performance
