Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using schematics, wiring diagrams, and precision measuring instruments such as calipers and ohmmeters to identify issues accurately.
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on automotive and marine engines, including electrical systems,
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting techniques to disassemble, repair, and reassemble mechanical parts with precision.
- Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and technical drawings to facilitate assembly, maintenance, or modifications of vehicles or vessels.
- Conduct vehicle maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake repairs, electrical troubleshooting, and system upgrades to ensure optimal performance.
- Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repair procedures clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service process.
- Maintain detailed service records, logs of repairs performed, parts used, and inspections completed to ensure compliance with safety standards.
Experience
- Proven service technician experience in automotive or marine environments with a strong understanding of mechanical systems.
- Hands-on experience working with schematics, electrical wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures including engine diagnostics
- Familiarity with the use of precision measuring instruments such as calipers and ohmmeters for accurate troubleshooting.
- Experience with rigging operations on boats or heavy machinery is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during repairs or installations.
