Premier manufacturing operation in NW Arkansas is in search of an experienced Maintenance Technician (Industrial Manufacturing) to support predictive and preventative maintenance for heavy industrial operations. You’ll be responsible for troubleshooting complex equipment issues and driving continuous improvement efforts to maximize equipment uptime, machine availability, and production efficiency while reducing costs. The ideal candidate has a safety-first mindset, enjoys working as a hands-on technician, and offers a strong background working with mechanical and electrical / electronic PLC systems.
Core Responsibilities:
- Perform predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment / systems
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment failures to minimize downtime and production impact
- Conduct equipment failure analysis and recommend improvements to enhance reliability, availability, and yield
- Evaluate existing equipment and processes; propose upgrades or modifications to improve performance
- Install, relocate, assemble, troubleshoot, and fine-tune new or existing manufacturing equipment
- Prepare for new or relocated equipment installations, including sizing, wiring, piping, and ventilation requirements
- Read and interpret work orders, equipment manuals, electrical schematics, and blueprints
- Utilize multi-meters, ammeters, and other diagnostic tools to test and verify system performance
- Work with single-phase and three-phase motor controls
- Program, troubleshoot, and support PLC and ladder logic systems (Allen-Bradley SLC-500, MicroLogix, ControlLogix)
- Perform pipe fitting, threading, and soldering for industrial piping systems
- Use mechanical, power, and soldering tools as well as perform Arc and/or TIG welding
- Maintain and repair power transmission systems including gearboxes, belts, and sprockets
- Identify worn or damaged components and coordinate timely repairs or replacements
- Safely handle hazardous materials and hazardous waste in compliance with safety and environmental regulations
- Interface with contractors, OEMs, and internal support teams to install, repair, or upgrade equipment and processes
- Use of CMMS to document maintenance activities, labor time, and work status
- Prepare maintenance / modification related technical documentation / reports
Qualifications:
- HS Diploma or Equivalent required
- Vocational training in related disciplines highly desired
- Must be either a US Citizen or a US Permanent Resident due to the nature of operations
- Minimum of 6 years of direct, hands-on work as an Industrial Manufacturing Maintenance Technician
- Experience working in an automated heavy industrial manufacturing setting required
- Basic math ability with experience reading/interpreting equipment manuals, work orders, schematic and blueprints
- Experience using computerized work order, maintenance and/or CMMS systems
- Experienced in:
- Reading / interpreting schematics
- Multi-Meter & Ammeter Utilization
- 3 phase & Single phase motor control
- PLC & Ladder Logic programming & understanding (AB SLC-500, MicroLogix, ControlLogix)
- Use of mechanical, soldering, and power tools
- Arc and/or TIG Welding
- Pipe fitting, Soldering and Threading
- Power Transmission applications knowledge (Gearboxes, sprockets, & Belts)
- Mechanical / Pneumatic / Hydraulic equipment & systems troubleshooting, repair & maintenance
- Strong verbal / written communication skills
- Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Available to work 3rd shift 11p-7:30a Sunday through Thursday (ability to train on days 4-6 months)
