Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, scheduling, and management of low voltage electrical projects, including systems such as security, data, telecommunications, and audio-visual installations.
- Collaborate with clients, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors to develop accurate construction estimates using tools like Jetbuilt, DTools, or other estimating software.
- Develop detailed project schedules utilizing project management tools to ensure timely delivery.
- Oversee all phases of project execution from design review through construction completion, ensuring compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards and safety regulations.
- Review blueprints, schematics, and system design documents to verify accuracy and feasibility before installation.
- Manage procurement processes for document control and communication.
- Coordinate on-site activities, monitor progress daily, address issues proactively, and ensure quality control throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare comprehensive reports on project status, budgets, and schedules; facilitate effective communication among all stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to contracts and project specifications while maintaining strict time management practices.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction management with a focus on low voltage electrical systems; prior construction site experience is essential.
- RCDD REQUIRED. Strong electrical engineering background with knowledge of system design, schematics reading, and blueprint interpretation.
- Familiarity with industry-standard software such as JetBuilt, Dtools, Bluebeam, for estimating and project scheduling tools.
- In-depth understanding of NEC regulations and electrical codes applicable to low voltage systems.
- Demonstrated ability in project management principles including contract administration, risk mitigation, and resource allocation.
- Excellent organizational skills with a focus on time management; ability to prioritize tasks effectively under tight deadlines.
- Effective communication skills for coordinating between clients, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams.
- Relevant certifications or experience in electrical engineering or construction management preferred; system design expertise is a plus.
