Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Lead Teacher for our Infant to Twos classroom. In this vital role, you will create a warm, engaging, and educational environment that promotes early childhood development. Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with the proprietary Life Essentials curriculum, focusing on early literacy, motor skills, social-emotional growth, and basic math concepts
- Foster a safe, nurturing classroom environment that encourages curiosity and independence among infants and toddlers
- Manage classroom routines including diapering, feeding, nap times, and activity transitions with patience and professionalism
- Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns to build strong partnerships
- Supervise assistant teachers and support staff to ensure high-quality care and effective classroom management
- Maintain compliance with mandated reporting laws, health and safety regulations, including first aid and CPR certification requirements
- Use behavior management strategies to promote positive social interactions and resolve conflicts constructively
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children in early childhood settings, particularly with infants and toddlers
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, curriculum development, and classroom management techniques
- Experience with special education needs, early intervention strategies, and behavior management approaches
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners
- Certification in first aid and CPR; ongoing commitment to health and safety standards
- Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and protection
- Demonstrated ability in lesson planning, classroom experience, and implementing literacy education strategies
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining flexibility in a dynamic environment
