What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Maintenance Technician position at Confidential?
The Lead Maintenance Technician is responsible for the oversight of the facilities maintenance of the hotel. This includes the interior as well as the exterior of the building and hotel grounds. You may also be responsible for interviewing, training, staff development, and scheduling.
The Lead Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the overall operation of the maintenance department and the appearance and working order of the hotel. You will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and continuous operation of all hotel systems, including mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, landscaping, water treatment, and preventive maintenance. CPO certification and/or experience is highly preferred. You will ensure that all legal, safety, health, fire, and environmental regulations are met in alignment with local requirements and company expectations.
The Lead Maintenance Technician must be willing to respond to emergencies, and work with hotel management and ownership on special remodeling projects or capital expenditure planning if needed.
Duties include:
* Lead and manage the maintenance team to ensure high performance and efficiency
* Develop and implement strategies for ongoing property maintenance and preventative maintenance programs
* Oversee the upkeep of the physical plant, including grounds, utility services, vehicles, and equipment
* Prepare and submit budget estimates, and progress and cost tracking reports
* Inspect and review projects to monitor compliance with building and safety codes, and other regulations
* Capable of working with building code officials, planning/zoning officials and community design committees when required
* Coach and counsel employees to reflect company service standards and procedures
