An established Illinois law firm is seeking a dynamic and highly qualified Executive Director to lead our firm’s operations and drive continued growth. The ideal candidate will be a licensed attorney in Illinois with proven experience managing a team of attorneys in a law firm environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all operational, financial, and administrative functions of the law firm, ensuring high standards of service and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a diverse team of attorneys and support staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Direct marketing initiatives, identify new business opportunities, and represent the firm’s interests in internal and external communications.
- Monitor financial performance, manage budgets, and set fiscal priorities for sustainable growth.
- Guide the firm’s information technology strategy, including cybersecurity, infrastructure management, and legal tech compliance.
- Work closely with partners and senior leadership to advance the firm’s vision and objectives.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) and active license to practice law in Illinois.
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in law firm management, including direct oversight of attorney teams.
- Demonstrated strength in leadership, strategic planning, and people management.
- Strong background in marketing, finance, and information technology with experience developing and executing growth strategies.
- Ability to manage the entire law firm with minimal supervision and decisive executive judgment.
- Outstanding communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
