Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Java Developer to design, develop, and enhance enterprise applications supporting regulatory systems. The role involves working closely with business users and technical teams to build scalable, accessible, and high-performance web applications using modern Java technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain applications using Java, J2EE, Spring, JSF, EJB, Hibernate, and PrimeFaces
- Translate user requirements into technical design, prototypes, and functional solutions
- Build SQL-driven screen prototypes and iterate based on user feedback
- Develop and integrate applications with Oracle databases, web services, and external systems
- Perform unit, integration, and system testing
- Support legacy system modernization and migration efforts
- Ensure compliance with W3C accessibility standards (JAWS/NVDA)
- Create technical documentation, flowcharts, and design artifacts
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
Required Skills:
- 8 years of Java/J2EE development
- Strong experience with:
- Spring Framework
- JSF, EJB, Hibernate, PrimeFaces
- HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- Experience with Oracle SQL/PLSQL
- Hands-on experience with legacy system migration
- Strong understanding of design patterns & application architecture
- Experience with testing (unit, integration)
Preferred Skills:
- Accessibility compliance (W3C, screen readers like JAWS/NVDA)
- Experience as Technical Lead
- Experience in government/public sector projects
