Summary: Responsible for the development and performance of all sales activities in assigned district. Staffs and directs a sales team and provides leadership towards the achievement of maximum profitability and growth in line with company vision and values. Establishes plans and strategies to expand the customer base in the territory and contributes to the development of training and educational programs for clients and Sales Associates.
Responsibilities:
- Ability to coach, lead and support the existing inside team.
- Develop Short Term Incentive Programs to keep Inside Team Motivated.
- Partner with HR to develop performance improvement plans up to and including staff upgrades.
- Create an optimal inside sales schedule that best supports customer service.
- Set up staff reception area to provide warm greeting for CW guests.
- The Inside Sales Manager will own and manage the Non-Stocked Item (NSI) Process.
- NSI Process: Sales reps submit a Reorder Request for items that aren’t stocked and the manager goes on to approve it
- Requests must be made by Thursday end of day so Inside Sales Manager can organize requests by region.
- Weekly Monday Meetings will be held with Regional Sales Managers to approve or deny NSI requests.
- Decisions will be based on size of customer, how many items they currently buy, value of requested item, and possible profit gains.
- Once the Inside Sales Manager has list of approvals and denies, they will communicate this information with the sales rep via e-mail.
- Approvals will be sent to the buyer for ordering.
- Inside Sales Manager will then track the purchasing flow and notify the rep when product lands.
- Sales must ship all NSI’s the next day.
Qualifications:
- 5-7 years of experience in Food Service sales management.
- Local resident to the defined geographic area is preferred.
- Food Service Experience is a must.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel.
- Extensive experience in all aspects of Relationship Management.
- Strong understanding of Food Service customers and market dynamics and requirements.
- Willingness to travel and work in a team of Food Service professionals.
- Proven leadership and ability to drive a Food Service sales team.
