Full Load Container Import Coordinator
Summary:
A Full Container Load (FCL) Import Coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating full-container ocean import shipments from origin to final destination. This role ensures cargo moves efficiently, complies with customs and regulatory requirements, and meets customer expectations through proactive communication with carriers, overseas agents, customs brokers, trucking providers, and clients. The coordinator serves as a key point of contact throughout the shipment lifecycle, providing exceptional customer service and operational support.

This is a customer-facing position responsible for providing end-to-end support to our freight forwarder clients regarding their FCL import shipments. The successful candidate will coordinate shipment activities, monitor cargo movements, ensure accurate documentation, facilitate timely customs clearance, communicate shipment updates, and resolve operational issues to ensure a seamless import experience. A strong customer service mindset, attention to detail, and knowledge of ocean import operations are essential for success in this role.
Job Requirements:
•We are seeking applicants with 2 to 5 years’ experience at an NVOCC or freight forwarder.

QUALIFICATIONS:
•Experience in handling, FCL import shipments on a start to finish basis
•Understanding of AMS/ISF processes and fundamental knowledge of import customs processes
•Ability to cost, quote and invoice shipment files with awareness of profit control.
•Basic familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook required
•Basic accounting skills required
•Solid written and verbal communication skills required
•College degree Prefer
