Job Summary
We are seeking skilled Automotive Mechanics that have the basic knowledge of replacing parts on used Autos, and or have the knowledge to diagnose issues with Autos, must have the drive to work hard and and beable to listen and learn, we are not opposed to training the right person that has basic knowledge! In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and or replacing parts as we see needed, ensuring quality repairs. Your expertise will determine pay, must have a valid Drivers Liscense and able to work in Taylorville, IL area.
Duties
- Replace parts on customer vehicles (brakes, Wheel bearings, Tune-ups, etc.) as we see fit and in a timely manner
- Repair and maintain various vehicle systems including engines (gasoline), transmissions, brakes, steering, suspension, and alignments
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy lifting techniques to execute mechanical repairs efficiently
- Diagnose issues with automotive wiring, electrical systems, and body components; able to use Diagnostic equipment
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an automotive mechanic
- knowledge of automotive gas engines, diagnostics, and electrical wiring diagrams
- Hands-on experience
- Ability to operate power tools, welding equipment, and heavy lifting safely and effectively
- Mechanical knowledge of powertrain components,
- Excellent listening skills and hard work ethic
- Customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients about repairs and maintenance needs
Pay: $17.00 - $30.00 per hour
