We are seeking a highly skilled Hematology Supervisor for our night shift team. Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate all hematology laboratory activities during the night shift, including specimen collection, processing, and analysis.
- Oversee the performance of complex hematology assays such as blood counts, flow cytometry, and immunoassays, ensuring adherence to quality control protocols.
- Manage laboratory staff schedules, provide training, mentorship, and evaluate performance to foster a high-performing team environment.
- Ensure compliance with laboratory regulations, safety standards, and accreditation requirements through diligent documentation and quality assurance practices.
- Monitor laboratory workflow to optimize efficiency while maintaining accuracy in data collection and reporting.
- Implement and oversee quality management systems to uphold rigorous standards in assay performance and specimen handling.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless specimen collection, processing, and data management within Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).
Skills
- Extensive experience with hematology techniques including ELISA, RNA extraction, DNA isolation, PCR, flow cytometry, and immunoassays.
- Strong background in clinical laboratory procedures with knowledge of physiology and anatomy relevant to blood sampling and venipuncture.
- Proven supervisory experience with leadership skills in managing laboratory teams and schedules effectively.
- Familiarity with laboratory information systems (LIMS), document management systems, and quality assurance protocols.
- Excellent understanding of medical terminology, laboratory techniques, and compliance standards within hospital or clinical settings.
- Ability to perform detailed data management, analysis skills, and maintain meticulous documentation for audits and quality control purposes.
- Knowledge of specimen collection/processing procedures including phlebotomy, blood sampling, vital signs monitoring, and aseptic techniques.
