Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Installer Technician to join our team. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction, service technician experience, and mechanical knowledge. A valid driver’s license is required for travel between job sites. The position offers an opportunity to work with advanced HVAC/R equipment and develop expertise in system design and installation.
Responsibilities
- Install HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration systems, and ventilation equipment according to schematics and HVAC design plans
- Perform maintenance and repair on existing HVAC equipment, ensuring optimal operation
- Read and interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals for proper installation procedures
- Conduct troubleshooting using tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment
- Assist with plumbing connections related to HVAC systems and refrigeration units
- Repair and service appliances and mechanical components associated with HVAC systems
- Weld, fabricate, or modify equipment as needed for installation or repair projects
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and building codes
- Maintain detailed documentation of work performed and parts used
- Collaborate with property maintenance teams or other contractors during large-scale installations or repairs
Skills
- Proven experience in construction, HVAC/R service, and insullation roles
- Strong understanding of schematics, HVAC design principles, and mechanical systems
- Sheetmetal experiance is a plus
- Ability to operate diagnostic tools
- Familiarity with field service operations and property maintenance tasks
- Knowledge of air conditioning systems and refrigerants
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required for travel between sites
- Experience working with HVAC/R equipment or as a mechanic
