AuDSLP is a patient-focused audiology clinic in Elmwood Park, New Jersey, dedicated to providing personalized hearing healthcare and exceptional service. We are looking for a friendly, professional, and experienced Hearing Aid Dispenser to join our team on a part-time basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for a licensed hearing aid professional who enjoys working directly with patients and is looking for a flexible part-time position in a welcoming clinical environment.
Position Summary
The Hearing Aid Dispenser will work with our audiology team to help patients find hearing solutions that fit their individual needs, lifestyle, and budget. The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently, communicates well with patients, and provides a high level of follow-up care and customer service.
Responsibilities
· Counsel patients regarding hearing aid options and recommendations
· Fit and dispense hearing aids in accordance with New Jersey requirements
· Perform hearing aid programming, adjustments, and troubleshooting
· Conduct hearing aid orientation and educate patients on proper use and care
· Provide follow-up appointments and ongoing hearing aid support
· Perform basic hearing aid cleaning, maintenance, and minor repairs
· Maintain accurate and complete patient documentation
· Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients and their families
· Collaborate with the audiologist and clinic team to provide an excellent patient experience
· Assist with hearing aid orders, warranties, and manufacturer coordination as needed
Qualifications
· Current New Jersey Hearing Aid Dispenser license required
· Experience fitting and programming hearing aids preferred
· Familiarity with major hearing aid manufacturers and fitting software is a plus
· Strong interpersonal and patient-service skills
· Professional, dependable, and organized
· Comfortable working with older adults and patients with varying communication needs
· Ability to work independently while collaborating with a small clinical team
Schedule
Part-time
We are open to discussing a schedule that works well for both the candidate and the clinic. This position may be especially well suited for an experienced hearing aid professional seeking a flexible or reduced schedule.
Compensation
Competitive compensation based on experience.
Additional compensation structure may be discussed based on experience and responsibilities.
