About the Role

We’re seeking a GIS Architect with deep experience supporting large utilities. This role focuses on ArcGIS Enterprise architecture, Utility Network planning, mobile as‐built workflows, and complex integrations across OT/IT systems.

Responsibilities

  • Architect and optimize ArcGIS Enterprise (sizing, tuning, clustering, load balancing).
  • Lead Utility Network design, migration planning, and workflow integration.
  • Build and support mobile as‐built field workflows (Collector, Field Maps, Survey123, vendor tools).
  • Integrate GIS with ADMS, DEMS, OMS, SCADA/ICS, RTUs, and Transmission/Distribution systems.
  • Define secure integration patterns (REST APIs, middleware, queues, DMZ).
  • Develop FME Flow/Form pipelines for complex conversions and scheduled ETL.
  • Establish infrastructure, network, and security requirements for hybrid cloud/on‐prem environments.
  • Collaborate with utility stakeholders across Transmission, Distribution, Energy Supply, and IT/OT.

Required Experience

  • 10 years in GIS architecture for utilities.
  • ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcFM, Utility Network.
  • OT/IT integration experience (ADMS, DEMS, OMS, SCADA/ICS).
  • FME Flow/Form and GIS data model conversions.
  • Cloud experience (AWS, SaaS/PaaS).
  • Mobile as‐built workflow design.

Preferred

  • NERC/Purdue model familiarity.
  • Prior Tier 1 utility consulting experience.
  • Strong communication and architecture documentation skills.
