A well-established healthcare organization in the Southern Illinois region is seeking an experienced and strategic Executive Director to lead overall operations, financial performance, and long-term growth.
The Executive Director will partner closely with the Board of Directors to ensure the organization continues to deliver high-quality, accessible health services to the community.
Key Responsibilities
- Provides overall leadership, direction, and coordination of all operations.
- Oversee organizational operations and administration, ensuring the implementation and adherence to established policies and procedures. Effectively organizes clinical and fiscal functions through appropriate delegation of responsibilities.
- Ensures strong financial management practices, including budgeting, internal controls, and the responsible oversight and utilization of funds.
- Prepares and delivers monthly reports to the Board of Directors detailing clinical outcomes and financial performance.
- Represents the organization through active participation in community, state, and national professional associations and activities that support the advancement, planning, and funding of community mental health services.
- Responsible for establishing job performance standards, conducting evaluations, and overseeing the performance management of all employees.
- Leads and supports grant writing and fundraising efforts to secure resources and sustain organizational operations.
- Serve as the primary liaison to the Board of Directors.
Qualifications
Required:
- Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Social Work, Business Administration, or related field.
- 7 years of progressive leadership experience.
- 3 years in a senior leadership role.
- Strong experience in healthcare or behavioral health
Preferred:
- Experience in a community health setting.
- Clinical licensure (LCSW, LCPC, LPC, PhD, PsyD).
- Experience working with a Board of Directors.
- Background in financial and operational leadership.
Compensation

Pay: $84,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
