General Job Description:
The Electrical Specialist is responsible to initiate and assist in improving daily operations in the plant. The individual will initiate/support root causing, innovation implementations, electrical modifications and any other assignments given. Additionally, electrical reliability will also be part of this role.
Core Duties/Responsibilities:
· Proficient with programing and troubleshooting PLC's
· Performs PM on equipment as prescribed by work order management system
· Supports all calibration functions and reliability aspects of equipment
· Troubleshoots and resolves electrical automation issues as required
· Reports weekly progress on daily and long term actions to Electrical Lead
· Responsible to help troubleshoot electrical issues remotely as needed.
· Performs training of electrical/plant maintenance personnel on existing and new equipment
· Assists with troubleshooting off shift and weekends as available
· Able to come in after hours to support shift maintenance as needed
· Performs reliability work specific to electrical department (spare parts, MP2 work order scheduling, improvements)
· Responsible for being first point of contact to assist shift maintenance with trouble shooting all support equipment such as Mahlo scanners, vision systems, auto stackers and all other equipment that may come in the future.
o Responsibility for and/or oversight on said equipment
High school diploma or equivalent. In addition the candidate must have a minimum of 8 years of work experience in the area of industrial electricity and automation. Experience troubleshooting and repairing electrical problems, motor drives and PLCs is preferred.
The ideal candidate must be highly motived and self-directed. He/she should possess strong organizational and communication (written and oral) skills, as well as strong computer and technical skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
· A.S. Degree in industrial electricity
· 10 years in fast paced manufacturing environment with some experience in PLC/automation
Pay: $42.94 - $46.94 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
