We’re partnering with a well-established, highly respected medical group in the Palm Springs area to identify a Director of Payor Relations. This is a fully onsite role, and candidates must be able to commute locally or be open to relocation.
This role offers strong visibility with executive leadership and plays a key role in driving payer strategy and financial performance across the organization.
This is a hands-on, strategic leadership role responsible for owning payer contracting, negotiations, and overall payer strategy across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead all payer contracting strategy, negotiations, and relationship management
- Develop and execute reimbursement strategies aligned with financial and growth goals
- Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and financial performance to support negotiations
- Partner cross-functionally with finance, operations, and clinical leadership
- Oversee contract performance, ensuring compliance with terms, rates, and payment accuracy
- Build and maintain strong relationships with payers, providers, and key stakeholders
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in payer contracting, negotiations, and managed care strategy
- Background within a health system or provider environment
- Strong financial and analytical skills (reimbursement modeling, P&L, etc.)
- Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on
