A global, multi-site manufacturer is seeking a Director of Procurement – Americas to lead a high-impact transformation across a large and diverse spend portfolio. This is a visible leadership role responsible for shaping regional sourcing strategy, elevating supplier partnerships, and driving measurable business value across operations.
This leader will operate at both strategic and hands-on levels—guiding long-term direction while delivering near-term results across cost, resilience, and performance. The role partners closely with senior leadership and plays a key part in advancing enterprise-wide procurement capabilities.
Location: Southeastern U.S. preferred (relocation supported)
What You’ll Do
- Own and evolve procurement strategy across the Americas, aligning with broader business priorities and growth objectives
- Lead sourcing and supplier management across a complex mix of direct and indirect spend categories
- Deliver measurable impact in cost optimization, supply reliability, and working capital performance
- Champion advanced sourcing practices, including competitive events, supplier negotiations, and contract strategy
- Monitor market dynamics and cost drivers, translating insights into proactive strategies that protect margins
- Build and scale supplier performance programs that drive accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement
- Leverage data and analytics to inform decisions, identify opportunities, and track value creation
- Strengthen procurement processes, governance, and cross-functional alignment across multiple locations
- Develop and mentor a regional team, fostering a high-performance, results-oriented culture
- Serve as a key voice in shaping the future direction of procurement within a global organization
What We’re Looking For
- 12 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain, including significant leadership responsibility
- Track record of leading procurement in a complex, multi-site manufacturing or industrial environment
- Strong commercial acumen with deep experience in supplier negotiations and cost management
- Ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Experience influencing senior stakeholders and leading across matrixed global organizations
- Data-driven mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to build, lead, and develop high-performing teams
- Familiarity with modern ERP systems and data tools (e.g., Excel, BI platforms)
- Willingness to travel across the region as needed
Salary : $165,000 - $200,000
