This role sits at the center of a complex, global transformation, overseeing financial performance for the distribution and software businesses while helping shape and scale financial operations across the company’s global distribution network.
⟶ Across distribution, you will help build more consistent processes and financial frameworks—enhancing inventory costing, margin visibility, and alignment across a globally dispersed network of sites and stakeholders.
⟶ Within software, you will partner closely with business leadership to improve revenue and cost visibility, bring greater rigor to investment decisions, and elevate financial support from reporting to true strategic partnership.
This is a highly visible leadership role where you will guide a global team, influence cross-functional partners, and drive alignment in an environment that requires both strong execution and thoughtful decision-making.
- Operational Finance Experience in Manufacturing / Distribution: Direct experience supporting operations, supply chain, or distribution environments is essential to understand how financials connect to real-world processes like inventory, costing, and fulfillment.
- Business Partnership & Decision Support: A strong track record of partnering with business leaders to evaluate investments, guide decisions, and connect financials to strategy is critical—especially within the software business.
- Experience Scaling or Enhancing Financial Visibility: Background in improving reporting, aligning costs and revenue, and increasing transparency will help elevate both the software and distribution areas as they continue to grow.
- Global Experience & Leading Through Complexity: Experience working across regions or with global teams is important to navigate differing processes, align stakeholders, and drive consistency across a dispersed organization.
- Team Leadership & Influencing Without Authority: This role requires a confident leader who can guide teams, push initiatives forward, and influence multiple stakeholders to drive alignment and progress in a dynamic environment.
Leadership Structure
- Reports to VP of FP&A & Investor Relations
- Leads global team in NAM and Europe
- Partners closely with business presidents, operational leaders, and cross-functional teams
Education Requirements and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field required
- MBA, CPA, or advanced degree strongly preferred
- Background combining finance and operational understanding (manufacturing/distribution) highly valued
Location & Travel
- Chicago
- ~30% travel, including domestic and international (Europe) travel
- Regular interaction with global sites, including key distribution locations and international teams
Salary : $220,000 - $250,000
