Director of Distribution Operations
We are seeking an experienced leader to oversee the performance of a high-volume distribution facility. This individual will drive operational excellence across logistics, supply chain, and customer service while ensuring the site meets its financial and productivity goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and day-to-day leadership for a large distribution center, including workforce management, budget oversight, and service delivery.
- Champion operational improvements by introducing innovative practices that enhance fulfillment, inventory control, and overall efficiency.
- Inspire, coach, and develop a team through effective performance management and engagement practices.
- Represent the site’s operations to senior leadership, ensuring alignment with broader company objectives.
- Oversee multiple initiatives simultaneously, balancing short-term demands with long-term growth strategies.
- Uphold a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement throughout the facility.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support organizational success.
Qualifications
- Proven track record (10 years) leading large-scale distribution or supply chain operations.
- Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and cost management.
- Advanced knowledge of warehouse management systems, distribution technology, and data analytics (Excel expertise required).
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or equivalent professional experience.
- Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement certification preferred.
- Skilled in project management, problem solving, and influencing cross-functional teams.
