Position Summary
The Dining Supervisor – Front of House is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the dining room service to ensure a pleasant and efficient dining experience for residents, families, and guests. This position provides leadership and direction to the front-of-house dining staff, ensuring excellent customer service, adherence to sanitation standards, and compliance with community policies and regulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Supervise daily dining room operations, ensuring timely, courteous, and professional service.
. Work as server to cover shifts as needed.
· Schedule, train, and direct dining room servers and hosts/hostesses.
· Maintain proper table setup, cleanliness, and atmosphere of the dining areas.
· Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
· Greet residents and guests, handle complaints, and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
· Coordinate meal service with the kitchen team to ensure smooth delivery of food and beverages.
· Monitor resident satisfaction and communicate feedback to the Dining Services Director.
· Assist with planning and executing special events, theme meals, and holiday functions.
· Conduct pre-shift meetings and ongoing staff training to maintain service standards.
· Track attendance, performance, and appearance standards of dining staff.
· Maintain accurate records for attendance, meal counts, and service reports.
· Support a culture of hospitality, respect, and teamwork among dining and culinary staff.
· Perform other duties as assigned to ensure high-quality dining experiences.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Direct supervision of front-of-house dining staff including servers, bussers, and hosts/hostesses. Responsible for onboarding, coaching, and performance feedback of dining personnel.
Must be available to work until 6:30-7:00 pm., 5 days a week. Some weekends required.
Qualifications
· High school diploma or equivalent required.
· Minimum of 2 years of food service or hospitality experience, preferably in senior living, healthcare, or hotel dining.
. Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
