Duties
- Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments, ensuring optimal oral health for each patient
- Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions to inform treatment plans
- Assist with chairside procedures such as taking dental radiographs (medical imaging) and preparing patients for treatments
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care to promote long-term dental health
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Eaglesoft, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Follow strict infection control protocols, including aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures, to uphold safety standards
- Collaborate with dentists and other team members in delivering comprehensive general dentistry services, including pediatric dentistry when applicable
Requirements
- Valid Dental Hygienist license in accordance with state regulations
- Proven experience in dental office settings with familiarity in dental terminology and documentation review
- Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft preferred
- Strong knowledge of infection control practices, anatomy, medical terminology, and medical coding
- Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach to diverse patient populations including pediatrics
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards and medical records management
- Prior experience in general dentistry or dental clinic environments is highly desirable

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 8 AM-5 PM
Friday: 8 AM-3 PM
Pay: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour
