Cultivation Technician - I

An entry-level, hands-on role focused on core plant work and facility cleanliness under direction from the Cultivation Manager or Cultivation Technician 2. Typical duties include daily plant care (watering, pruning, transplanting, cloning support, harvesting assistance), basic environment and plant-health checks, room resets and sanitation, all post-harvest tasks, and accurate task logging while following SOPs, safety, biosecurity, and compliance guidelines. The Technician 1 maintains orderly grow spaces, stages materials, assists with basic IPM and nutrient prep as directed, and reliably performs repetitive tasks requiring standing for extended periods and lifting up to ~50 lb, supporting a clean, efficient, and compliant perpetual production cycle.

Responsibilities

· Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs)

· Maintain good agricultural practices (GAPs) and follow all GMPs and Facility Rules

· Understand Veg Room SOPs and changes to Policy.

· Understand Flower Room SOPs and Changes to Policy

· Assist in all plant care from maintaining mother stock to harvest, including automated and hand watering, cloning, propagation, pheno hunting, transplanting, pruning, topping, defoliating, trellising, and harvesting.

· Typical daily work tasks required include pruning, transplanting/moving plants, harvesting, cloning, hand watering, cleaning, assisting with all post-harvest activities, etc.

· Post harvest tasks including hanging, bucking, machining, manicuring, curing and testing dried product

· Operate and maintain cultivation systems/equipment

· Stock cultivation supplies as needed

· Clean, sanitize, and setup all grow rooms

· Maintain and ensure proper storage and sanitation of all tools and equipment, including but not limited to shop vacs, pumps, hoses, carts, scissors, stools, totes, gloves, rags, and PPE gear

· Perform regular audits as required

· Perform any other job-related tasks assigned by management

· Attendance expectations are shifts between 7am-3:30pm Monday-Friday. With weekend shifts when necessary to meeting production timeline goals and maintain proper plant health.

Qualifications

· Must be 21 years of age or older

· Ability to pass a national background check per state cannabis regulations.

· High School Diploma or GED Certificate required.

· Adaptable/flexible and able to work in an ever-changing environment.

· Passion for growing plants in a rapidly growing industry!

· Previous agriculture or manufacturing experience preferred but not required.

· Ability to work independently throughout a workday with the given directive

· Work with Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and Outlook

Physical Requirements

· Focus on a physical task for a long period of time without losing edge

· Manual dexterity; enough to reach/handle items, work with fingers

· Able to stand for 6 or more hours

· Able to lift, push, or pull 50 lbs. Of weight

· Hearing and vision within normal ranges are essential for normal conversations, receiving ordinary information, and to prepare for inspecting documents.

Facility Environment

· Allergen warnings - Potential exposure to dust, pollen, and plant pathogens.

· Exposure to cleaning solvents, such as high volumes of isopropyl alcohol

· All jobs require daily use of provided PPE, such as masks, hair nets, beard covers, respirators, boot covers, scrubs, non-slip shoes, and Tyvek suits as necessary.

· Exposure to loud noises, including but not limited to air compressors, packaging equipment, and alarms. We offer ear plugs to all employees.

· Exposure to CO2 manufacturing procedures at OSHA approved CO2 levels

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
