CNC Machinist – Steel Yard
Pay: $20.00/hourSchedule: Full-Time
We are seeking a dependable and mechanically inclined CNC Machinist to join a busy steel yard. This position is responsible for operating CNC machinery used to cut, shape, drill, and process steel according to job specifications. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in an industrial environment, have strong attention to detail, and understand the importance of accuracy and safety.
Job Duties
- Set up and operate CNC machinery used for steel fabrication and processing
- Read and follow work orders, measurements, blueprints, and job specifications
- Load and position steel materials properly for machining
- Enter or verify machine settings and make adjustments as necessary
- Measure completed parts to ensure they meet required dimensions and tolerances
- Inspect finished products for accuracy and quality
- Monitor machines during operation and identify potential problems
- Perform basic machine maintenance and keep equipment clean
- Safely handle steel and other materials throughout the yard
- Use measuring tools and basic hand tools as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all company and workplace safety procedures
- Assist with other steel yard or production duties as needed
Qualifications
- CNC machine operation or machining experience preferred
- Experience working with steel, metal fabrication, or in an industrial environment is a plus
- Mechanically inclined with the ability to learn machinery and equipment
- Ability to read measurements and accurately follow specifications
- Comfortable using basic hand tools and measuring equipment
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Dependable, punctual, and safety-conscious
- Must be physically capable of standing for extended periods and performing the lifting, bending, and material-handling duties associated with a steel yard
Pay is $20.00 per hour. This is a full-time position with an established steel yard and is a great opportunity for someone with machining, manufacturing, or metalworking experience.

Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
