Luxury Boutique Real Estate Brokerage
Full-Time | Reports to CFO | Multi-State Operations
We are a growing luxury boutique real estate brokerage operating across multiple states with 35 locations. We are seeking an experienced Controller to report directly to the CFO and lead day-to-day accounting operations across our organization.
This is a senior-level, hands-on leadership role ideal for a finance professional with real estate brokerage or relatable experience who thrives in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all accounting operations across multiple entities and states
- Manage commission accounting, agent payouts, referral fees, and incentive plans
- Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
- Prepare consolidated financial statements
- Maintain multi-state compliance, including brokerage and tax requirements
- Oversee trust/escrow accounting compliance (as applicable)
- Strengthen internal controls and accounting procedures
- Lead and develop the accounting team
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis in partnership with the CFO
- Coordinate audits and manage relationships with external accountants and tax advisors
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5 years of progressive accounting experience
- Real estate brokerage accounting experience preferred
- Multi-entity and multi-state accounting experience required
- Experience with commission structures and 1099 independent contractor environments
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial consolidations
Preferred Experience
- Experience in high-growth or multi-location organizations
- Process improvement and systems implementation experience
- Experience supporting executive leadership teams
