What are the responsibilities and job description for the Centerless Grinder position at Confidential?
We are a manufacturing company in Wheeling looking for a 1st shift (6am start) Centerless Grinder.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Set-up and operate one or more centerless grinding machines and other related grinding equipment to manufacture a variety of machine parts
- Follow detailed blueprints, customer specifications, internal work instructions, and engineering direction both written and verbal.
- Inspect and document your work using precision measuring equipment and associated gauges and tooling.
- Perform basic preventative maintenance and housekeeping duties.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Requires a high school diploma or equivalent plus trade school training.
- 5 year of grinding experience.
- Must be able to apply practical shop math involving fractions, ratios, and proportions, geometric construction, and essentials of trigonometry.
- Primarily medium to heavy physical work - while performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; is frequently required to reach with hands and arms above shoulder heights, below the waist or lifting as required throughout the workday. Occasionally lift and/or move, exerting up to 100 pounds of force; frequently lift and/or move, exerting up to 50 pounds of force.

Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
