SUMMARY
Responsible for informing customers of available products and how they should be used. Dispenses product with oversight from the Dispensary Manager and/or Shift Supervisor.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Demonstrate outstanding customer service and sales skills by answering or appropriately directing questions and concerns
- Assist with keeping the sales floor stocked with merchandise and/or organizing the sales floor and stock areas
- Retain thorough and comprehensive knowledge of customer benefits, discounts, coupons and promotions
- Operate cash register by using barcode scanner, computer-based POS system and cash drawer to process transactions
- Greet and establish rapport with customers--get to know them and seek to understand their interest in cannabis:
o First-Time Run-Down
o Inform guests of specials
o Inform guests of special events
o Encourage email and text-blast sign up
o Arranges payment terms in accordance with established guidelines.
- Assist customers in identifying the products and methods of administration that best fit their individual needs:
o Maintain established sales average goals
o Maintain established return rate goals.
o Adhere to strict distribution processes and maintain a professional and safe environment for customers and coworkers.
- Gather and process required documents and information, and perform detailed verification while maintaining client confidentiality
- Continue to enhance your knowledge of cannabis, and continually hone your ability to explain and recommend products and cannabinoids
- Unpack, sort, count and label merchandise as directed, including items requiring special handling or refrigeration.
- Ensure the facility is regularly cleaned and sanitized according to company procedures
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- No direct reports.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
- High school diploma required
- Previous experience in dispensing controlled substances preferred
- Two to three years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Associate degree in health care field preferred but not required.[GT1] [MKH2]
- Sales Experience.
- Patient Care Experience preferred[GT3] [MKH4]
- Must be friendly, outgoing, trustworthy, dependable, and hardworking.
- Must be able to provide exemplary customer service and represent the business with pride.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must have no felony convictions.
- Must comply with a background check/fingerprinting.
- Previous retail, operations and/or sales experience required
- Basic strain and plant structure knowledge
- Knowledge of uses and benefits of cannabinoids.
- Ability to communicate clearly and accurately
- Must comply with state regulations and guidelines
