Duties
- Greet customers warmly, listen carefully to their vehicle concerns, and accurately document their needs.
- Provide detailed explanations of recommended services, including oil changes, tire rotations, brake repairs, suspension work, alignment, shocks & struts, and collision repairs.
- Use estimating software and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools to prepare accurate repair estimates.
- Upsell additional services and maintenance packages that enhance vehicle safety and performance while meeting customer needs.
- Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs and ensure timely completion of work.
- Communicate clearly with clients about repair progress, costs, and completion times to foster trust and satisfaction.
- Handle cash transactions professionally while maintaining accurate records of service sales and payments.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an automotive service advisor or in a similar auto service management role; dealership experience is highly preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in automotive diagnostics, repair procedures, and vehicle maintenance.
- Proficiency with estimating software and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and effectively.
- Experience in upselling services such as tire service, alignment, suspension repairs, shocks & struts replacement, brake repair, oil changes, and collision repair estimates.
- Knowledge of automotive repair processes including service writing, auto estimating, collision repair procedures, and automotive diagnostics.
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining professionalism at all times.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; driving experience is essential for test drives or vehicle inspections.
