Duties
- Assist customers in identifying and selecting the correct auto parts and accessories based on their vehicle needs, utilizing automotive diagnostics knowledge when necessary
- Manage inventory control by stocking shelves, conducting regular stock checks, and ensuring accurate inventory management using POS systems and CMMS software
- Process sales transactions efficiently through cash handling, retail math calculations, and POS systems while maintaining excellent phone etiquette for remote inquiries
- Collaborate with the service team to support vehicle maintenance and automotive repair tasks by providing timely parts availability
- Negotiate with vendors to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms, supporting dealership sales management goals
- Maintain organized shelving and stock areas to facilitate quick order fulfillment and ensure safety standards are met during stocking and maintenance activities
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, offering product recommendations, and resolving issues promptly with strong communication skills
Qualifications
- Previous experience in dealership or retail auto parts sales is highly preferred, along with familiarity with automotive repair processes and automotive service procedures
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage inventory control, stocking, and order fulfillment efficiently
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, retail math, and inventory management software such as CMMS or POS systems
- Excellent communication skills in multiple languages (bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus) to serve diverse customer needs effectively
- Knowledge of automotive diagnostics, vehicle maintenance, and auto repair techniques enhances your ability to assist customers accurately
- Experience with dealership operations or marketing strategies related to retail sales is advantageous
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately while demonstrating professionalism in cashiering duties
