Duties
- Assist senior mechanics with diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using schematics and diagnostic tools
- Support the repair and maintenance of diesel engines, small engines, heavy equipment, vehicles, and power generation systems
- Perform/oversee routine inspections, lubrication, adjustments, and part replacements on vehicles and equipment
- Use hand tools, power tools, and electrical diagnostics equipment to troubleshoot mechanical systems
- Help with heavy lifting tasks safely while adhering to manual handling protocols
- Maintain detailed records of repairs performed and parts used for each service job
- Support the overall upkeep of workshop cleanliness and organization to ensure safety and efficiency
- Work with management to ensure repairs are made with correct priority and care
Skills
- Heavy equipment experience or mechanical engineering education highly preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive/heavy equipment repair and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with schematics, electrical diagnostics, and electrical work on machinery or vehicles
- Experience repairing diesel engines, generators, and power generation systems is a plus
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and small engine maintenance techniques
- Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics accurately
- Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients when needed
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely
- Knowledge of heavy machinery is advantageous

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
