Analytics Architect/Lead - Operations & Business Insights

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Architect with proven experience in greenfield project start to finish as well as ability to be Analytics Lead to partner with business leaders across Operations, Compliance, Risk Management, and other operational organizations.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working directly with managers, directors, and executives to define key performance indicators (KPIs), prioritize reporting initiatives, and create analytics roadmaps that drive measurable business results.

The successful candidate will serve as the Architect and bridge between business stakeholders and analytics delivery teams, ensuring reporting, dashboard, and data initiatives align with operational goals.
This is not a data architecture or hands-on dashboard development role. The focus is on stakeholder engagement, requirements gathering, KPI development, roadmap planning, and value realization.

Responsibilities

- Partner with operational leaders to identify analytics opportunities and performance improvement initiatives

• Facilitate KPI definition and performance measurement discussions
• Gather, document, and prioritize reporting and analytics requirements
• Architect and develop analytics roadmaps and reporting strategies
• Translate business objectives into actionable requirements for analytics teams
• Support executive reporting and operational performance reviews
• Drive stakeholder alignment across multiple business units
• Help establish data definitions, reporting standards, and governance practices
• Measure and communicate business value generated through analytics initiatives

Required Qualifications

- 8 years of experience in Business Analysis, Analytics, Business Intelligence, Operations Strategy, or related fields

• Experience working directly with business stakeholders to define metrics, KPIs, and reporting requirements
• Strong requirements gathering and process improvement experience
• Experience supporting executive-level reporting and decision making
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to translate business needs into analytics initiatives

Preferred Qualifications

- Telecommunications, Field Service, Logistics, Utility, Energy, or operations-focused experience

Must Have:

• Must be able to be in the office 4x a week M-Thursday (non negotiable) Qualified candidates should be local to San Diego as there is no relocation package nor commute allowance.
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar reporting platforms
• Familiarity with data governance and data quality initiatives
• Experience supporting operational performance management programs
• Excellent leadership and communication skills with experience architecting systems
