A long-standing South Florida organization, is seeking an Actuarial Analyst to join our growing actuarial and analytics team. This role is ideal for a highly analytical professional who is passionate about modeling risk, driving data-based decision-making, and contributing to long-term financial stability.
In this role, you’ll work closely with our Actuary and cross-functional partners to evaluate risk, support product development, and guide strategic initiatives that shape the future of our financial programs.
What You’ll Do
- Analyze data, trends, and loss events to assess and forecast financial risk.
- Develop and refine models for pricing, reserves, premiums, and other core actuarial functions.
- Support the design and enhancement of insurance and financial products.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, reporting requirements, and industry best practices.
- Present findings and insights to leadership, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
- Identify emerging risks and propose strategies to support long-term organizational stability.
- Collaborate with actuaries, underwriters, analysts, and cross-functional teams to achieve business goals.
- Continuously seek ways to improve actuarial processes, methodologies, and tools.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or related field (Advanced degrees a plus).
- Actuarial credentials (ACAS/FCAS) preferred.
- Strong proficiency in statistical modeling and financial analysis.
- Experience with R, Python, SAS, SQL, or similar languages.
- Familiarity with actuarial tools (Prophet, AXIS, Emblem) is a plus.
- Exceptional communication skills, able to translate complex findings for all audiences.
- Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and proactive problem-solver.
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining the highest level of confidentiality.
