What You'll Be Doing
- Working on projects from concept through installation, including design, sourcing, procurement, scheduling, and styling.
- Assisting with the development and presentation of design concepts, mood boards, FF&E packages, material palettes, and client presentations.
- Collaborate closely with clients, contractors, and vendors to ensure seamless project execution from initial concept to final installation.
- Create detailed drawings and visual presentations using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite to communicate design ideas effectively.
- Researching and sourcing furniture, lighting, finishes, materials, and accessories.
- Coordinating with vendors, contractors, workrooms, and showrooms to ensure projects stay on track.
- Maintaining project schedules, budgets, specifications, and documentation.
- Attending client meetings, taking measurements, documenting project details, and communicating next steps.
- Assisting with installations, styling, and professional photo shoots.
- Managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy, organization, and attention to detail.
What We're Looking For
- 2–4 years of professional interior design experience, preferably with a residential design firm.
- Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design or a related field preferred.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Experience creating design presentations, specifications, and project documentation.
- Knowledge of furniture, finishes, materials, color selections, and high-end residential construction methods.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a team.
- Someone who is proactive, resourceful, and solution-oriented.
- A great eye for design and strong attention to detail.
- Reliable transportation, valid insurance, and ability to travel locally for meetings, installations, and sourcing.
- Ability to lift and transport samples, materials, and small furnishings when needed.
- Familiarity with Los Angeles design resources, showrooms, and the Pacific Design Center.
