What You'll Do:
- Administer and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with ISO 9001, customer requirements, and internal quality standards.
- Manage quality system documentation, including procedures, work instructions, forms, records, and document control processes.
- Coordinate corrective actions, continuous improvement initiatives, and quality-related projects, tracking progress and driving timely resolution.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to develop, update, and standardize quality processes, policies, and documentation across the organization.
- Lead quality planning activities, including APQP, PPAP submissions, Control Plans, and FMEA maintenance to support customer and business requirements.
- Compile, analyze, and report quality metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs), providing recommendations to support data-driven decision making.
- Support internal, customer, and third-party audits, including preparation, documentation, follow-up activities, and maintenance of audit records.
- Other job-related duties and special projects as assigned.
Who We're Looking For:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical field preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum two (2) years of experience working within a manufacturing environment utilizing a certified quality management system
- Experience with ISO 9001 or equivalent quality standards
- Experience with APQP, PPAP, Control Plans, and FMEAs
- Experience performing capability studies and Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA)
Technical Proficiency: Experience using Microsoft Office Suite and quality management systems to manage documentation, analyze data, and support quality and compliance initiatives.
Skills:
- Communication & Collaboration: Ability to communicate quality requirements clearly, build strong cross-functional relationships, and influence positive change across the organization.
- Organization & Attention to Detail: Strong documentation, recordkeeping, and organizational skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Project & Priority Management: Proven ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
- Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to interpret data, identify trends, evaluate processes, and recommend practical solutions that support quality and business objectives.
What Makes You Stand Out:
- Five (5) years of experience working within a manufacturing environment utilizing a certified quality management system
- Experience in steel or other rolled metal products
- Six-sigma and/or Lean Manufacturing knowledge and experience
- Automotive or appliance supply chains experience
- Experience leading internal audit programs required; Lead Auditor certification is a plus
Additional:
- Must be able to work outside normal business hours/days as needed, occasional weekend or off-shift support may be required based on operational needs
